Seedless Florida Valencia Oranges are a springtime necessity. Spending almost a full year soaking up the sun makes our seedless Florida Valencia Oranges especially sweet and juicy with a rich, out of control orange flavor. Great for eating out of hand, seedless Florida Valencia Oranges also make great juice!

Valencia Oranges are usually seedless or have few seeds. For the highest nutritional value seedless Florida Valencia Oranges should be eaten fresh or squeezed shortly before use. The juice will retain its flavor when refrigerated and freezes well. The juice may separate when frozen but can be shaken or blended to restore it.

90% of the seedless Florida Valencia Orange crop is processed into juice and their juice is generally considered to have the best flavor. Virtually all orange juice sold commercially contains mostly Valencia Orange juice unless otherwise labeled. Even so, nothing beats the flavor of fresh-squeezed seedless Florida Valencia Oranges.

Availability
Our seedless Florida Valencia Oranges are available March to August.

"Make it Deluxe" option not available to Arizona, California, Louisiana and Texas; also some portions of Oklahoma, New Mexico and Nevada.

History
The sweet Valencia Orange is actually a native of China, brought to the Azores by early Portuguese or Spanish voyagers. Thomas Rivers imported some trees from the Azores in the 1860s. He later introduced them to the US when he delivered some trees to a Long Island nurseryman in 1870. The trees were marketed to growers in Florida and California. The first large commercial shipments to eastern markets began in 1877 and Valencia Oranges and their juice eventually became an American breakfast staple.
